Tummy tuck on a young woman following two c-sections (5)
This patient is a healthy 30 year old white female. She is 5’1” and 145lbs. She’s had two c-sections, but no other surgeries. Following the birth of her children she was bothered by the appearance of her abdomen. She had laxity both above and below the umbilicus with some fullness into the lateral flank area. In order to correct her degree of laxity she required a full abdominoplasty with plication and aggressive liposuction of the hips and flank area. Her surgery was unremarkable and she was back to work after a couple of weeks. Postoperative photos obtained at two months show that she is healing beautifully, her abdomen is flat, she no longer has the lower abdominal over hang and fullness in the waistline. She is beginning more aggressive exercise and is otherwise back to all normal activities. She is quite pleased with her surgical outcome. -
Abdominoplasty following multiple pregnancies (5)
This is a 28 year old healthy white female. She is 5’3” and 155lbs who has had three c-sections and an ectopic pregnancy following a tubal ligation. She was concerned about her abdomen. She had laxity both above and below the umbilicus and significant stretch marks, particularly in the lower portion. In order to correct this she would require a full abdominoplasty with some liposuction of the hips and rectus plication. Having discussed the risks and benefits of the surgery she decided to proceed and underwent a full abdominoplasty with liposuction of the hips and rectus plication. Her postoperative course was completely unremarkable. Three months after surgery she is quite pleased with her results. Her abdomen is flat, the scar is in a nice position for low riding bathing suits, the stretch marks have been significantly improved and she is back to all normal activity and workouts. -
Abdominoplasty with Rectus Plication (5)
This is a 30 year old healthy white female. She is 5’5” and 135lbs. She had two children via natural birth, her youngest being three. She works out constantly but has been unable to correct the postpartum damage to her abdomen. She has laxity both above and below the umbilicus with a small diastasis of the rectus muscle. In order to correct this she would require a full abdominoplasty with a small amount of liposuction of the hips and a rectus plication. Having discussed all of the risks and benefits she decided to proceed and underwent an uncomplicated abdominoplasty with plication. Her postop course was uneventful. Photos obtained at two months show that her abdomen is healing nicely. There is no residual laxity to the skin and her muscles are now snug and tight. At this point she can begin more active workouts and she is quite pleased with her surgical outcome both in and out of clothing. -
Abdominoplasty with Secondary Liposuction (5)
This is a 37 year old white female who is a personal trainer. She is 5’6” and 140lbs. She has had no previous surgeries. She had two children via natural child birth and lost a significant amount of weight around the age of twenty. She is a non-smoker. What concerned her was her abdomen. She had laxity both above and below the umbilicus and no true fullness to her hips. In order to correct her appearance she would require a full abdominoplasty with rectus plication. She underwent the procedure and her postoperative course was completely unremarkable. She did have a small amount of residual fullness in the lower abdominal area which was treated with a small amount of liposuction under local anesthesia in the office. Photos obtained six months postoperatively show a flat, well defined abdomen which shows off her efforts to stay extremely fit. -
Abdominoplasty Post 3 C-Sections (5)
This is a 32 year old healthy white female. She is 5’3” and 126lbs. She had three c-sections and is a non- smoker. As a result of her pregnancies she has significant diastasis of the rectus muscle, particularly in the periumbilical area and significant stretch marks above and below the umbilicus. In order to correct her laxity she would require a full abdominoplasty, small amount of liposuction of the hips and a significant rectus plication. She decided to proceed and underwent an uncomplicated surgical procedure and postoperative course. Photos obtained at two months show a well healed abdomen. The laxity of the abdominal musculature has been corrected and the stretch marks are significantly less prominent. Her abdomen is flat and she is back to all normal activities. The results of the three c-sections have been nicely improved and she is quite pleased. -
Tummy Tuck with Muscle Tightening (5)
This set of before and after photos features a 39 year old white female. She is 5’ 1” 135 lbs who had a c-section for twins six years ago. Following this she developed laxity both above and below the umbilicus with laxity to the rectus muscle. This made her feel as if she was still pregnant. In order to correct her situation she underwent a full abdominoplasty with liposuction of the hips and plication of the rectus fascia. Her postoperative course was completely unremarkable. Two months later she is completely healed and has returned to all normal activities. She can now exercise fully and feels that she no longer appears pregnant. -
Abdominoplasty and Liposuction (4)
This is a 37 year old white female 5’ 6” 160lbs which is stable for her. She had 3 children via c-section but did smoke occasionally. She understood that she would need to be off all cigarettes six weeks prior to any procedure in order to insure proper healing. Examination showed significant laxity below the umbilicus with a small amount above and a mild diastasis. She also had some fullness in the hip area. In order to improve her abdomen she underwent a full abdominoplasty with liposuction of the waistline and a gentle plication to the rectus. Her postoperative course was unremarkable and two months postoperatively the abdomen has healed nicely. It is nice and flat with marked improve contour. The scars are beginning to settle in appropriately. She can now start vigorous exercise in order to maintain her new shape with which she is quite happy. -
Abdominoplasty + Liposuction (5)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 60 year old white female, she is 5' 9" 160 lbs. Who over the last year has lost an additional 40 lbs. She has three grown children via natural birth. What concerned her was her abdomen. Following weight loss she had laxity both above and below the umbilicus. Her rectus muscle despite three pregnencies was reasonably firm, in order to flatten her abdomen and remove the redundent tissue she underwent a full abdominoplasty with liposuction in the hip area. Post-operatively she did well and two months later is back performing all her activities including working out. Her abdomen is flat and firm with a markably improved contoor in her clothing. She can now enjoy the benefits of her weight loss. -
Abdominoplasty Following Multiple C-Sections (5)
This is a 34 year old white female with three children via c-section. She is 5’5” and 160lbs which is stable for her. Since the birth of her last child she has been concerned about her abdomen. She had laxity both above and below the umbilicus with weakness to her abdominal musculature. In order to correct this she required a full abdominoplasty and liposuction of the anterior and lateral hip area to improve her waist line. Her postoperative course was uneventful. By day ten sutures and drains had been removed. She gradually increased activity. Photos obtained at four months show a well healed abdomen with a nice flat and tight contour. She is back to all normal activity and working out. She is quite pleased with her results. -
Abdominoplasty (5)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a healthy 29 year old white female. She has had 2 children via c-section. She is 5' 4" tall and presently 152 lbs but has lost 80 lbs through working out. She does cardio about 2 hours a day. What was a concern to her was her abdomen as well as some fullness in the postlateral medial thigh area. Examination confirmed laxity both above and below the umbillicus and a bit of fullness in the hips and posterior thigh region. In order to correct the results of major weight loss she underwent a full abdominoplasty with liposuction to the hips, medial and posterior thighs with 3700 cc of infiltrate and approximatley 3200 cc removed. Postoperative course was unremarkable and she did quite well. She maintained her compression for 3 weeks and gradually resumed normal activities. Photos were obtained 6 months later. They show a beautifully healed abdomen. It is flat with nice definition of the underlying musculature. Her thighs and hips have also diminished in size. She now is able to enjoy the results of her diligent diet and exercise combined with surgery -
Post-Pregnancy Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) (3)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 35 year Hispanic female (5'4", 148lbs) mother of two from Schenectady, NY. She was concerned with her central abdominal laxity and fullness that developed after the first pregnancy and grew more severe after the second. This was corrected with a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) that included plication (tightening) of the rectus sheath (stomach muscles). We also performed liposuction of the hips to create a more smooth and graceful outer curve. 3 months later, the patient has resumed all normal activities and has healed nicely. Her abdomen, waist line and hips look wonderful creating a much more pleasing silhouette. -
Abdominoplasty + Panniculectomy + Liposuction (4)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 31 year old white female. She is 5' 9" 220 lbs and has lost 80 lbs on her own through diet and exercise. She is a nonsmoker. The weight loss has left her with laxity in her abdominal area particularly in the lower abdomen. This caused irritation and hygiene issues. In order to complete her transformation and to remove the laxity caused by her weight loss she underwent a panniculectomy and extended full abdominoplasty with some liposuction of the lateral hips. Her postoperative course was unremarkable. Within 3 weeks she was back doing most activities except vigorous exercise. Photos were taken 6 months after surgery show dramatic improvement in her body contour. The abdomen is flat and there is no longer the pannis to deal with from both the cosmetic and hygiene standpoint. She is now proportionate in any type of clothing and is quite pleased with her body’s change. -
Tummy Tuck + Muscle Plication (4)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 31 year old healthy, white female and mother of 1 via natural childbirth. She is 5 feet 7 inches tall, 159 pounds and worked to lose 10 pounds prior to surgery. She gained approximately 100 pounds with her pregnancy and this left her with weakness to her abdominal musculature and laxity both above and below the umbilicus (belly button). In order to tighten her up, she underwent a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with plication of the rectus fascia and a small amount of liposuction to the hips. Photos taken 2 months after surgery show a beautifully flat and sculpted abdomen with virtually zero laxity to the skin. The scar has been kept low for underwear and bathing suit purposes and will continue to fade overtime. She is already back to full activity and exercises and remains overjoyed with both her decision to 'tighten her tummy' and the result I was able to achieve. -
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) + Liposuction (7)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 35 year old (5'4", 140lbs) mother of two who had diffuse fullness of the abdomen, hip and back regions. To correct this she underwent a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with rectus muscle plication (tightening) and liposuction of the hips and lower back. Three months post operatively demonstrates an excellent contour, smaller waist size and minimal scarring. Note the marked diminution of the anterior/posterior extent of her abdomen which can be seen on the lateral (side) photographs). The patient expresses great joy in finally being able to wear form fitting clothing and two piece bathings suits with ease. -
Tummy Tuck (1)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a healthy 40 year old white female. 5' 4" 142 lbs. Her present weight is quite stable but she has lost significant weight in the past. She had one child by natural birth who is now grown. She works out daily and is a nonsmoker. Her concern was the laxity to her abdomen both above and below the umbillicus. Despite a rigorous workout and diet program. In order to achieve her desired goal she underwent a full abdominoplasty with liposuction of the hips. Postoperatively she did quite well and over the next few months she resummed normal activity including exercise. Four months later she is completly healed. The abdomen is flat with a nice waist line. She can now see the results of all of her effort in the gym and her clothes fit her nicely. -
Tummy Tuck + Liposuction (5)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 40 year old female 5' 0" 140 lbs whose only surgical procedure was a surgical ablation 2 years ago. She has had 3 children via natural birth and they were all very large babies greater than 10lbs each. She did smoke but understood that she would need to refrain from all smoking 6 weeks prior to any procedure. She had a significant laxity both above and below the umbilicus with stretch marks and weakness to the abdominal musculature due to her 3 pregnancies. In order to correct her abdominal laxity she underwent a full abdominoplasty, suctioning of the hips, and plication of the rectus. Postoperatively she did well. Two months postop she is back to all normal activities. Her abdomen is flat and the scars are healing well. She no longer has to deal with the excess tissue when wearing clothes. The results of 3 10lb babies has been corrected. -
Tummy Tuck - Before & After (2)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 57 year old healthy, white female. She is 5 ft 2 in tall and 172 lbs - which is a stable weight for her. Earlier in the year she had an exploratory laparotomy which required a periumbilical incision. The procedure went well but unfortunately left her with a vertical scar extending both above and below the belly button. What bothered her most, though, was the large abdominal pannus (lower belly roll) which did not respond to either diet or exercise. The pannus created an overabundance of loosely hanging skin in lower belly area and an overly round midsection. To correct these issues, a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) that included aggressive plycation of the rectus sheath and liposuction of the posterior/lateral hips was performed. The post operative course was unremarkable (complication free) and photos taken 3 months after surgery show a beautiful and well healed result. Her midsection is now firm and flat instead of round and flabby. There is no longer any overhanging, loose or droopy skin in the lower belly nor excess bulk in her flanks (love handles) or hips. Dresses, which used to bulge out in middle over folds or rolls, now taper in at the waist. She feels excellent about her new, more shapely figure and the newfound confidence it brings. -
Albany Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) After Weight Loss (2)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 64 year old woman (5'6" - 170lb.) from Avril Park, NY who had lost over 80lbs after undergoing gastric bypass surgery. This unfortunately left her with a rather large abdominal pannus (pouch) and laxity of the skin which caused irritation. In order to remove the excess skin tissue and sculpt her mid-section into a pleasing form, the patient underwent a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with liposuctioning of the hips. Photos taken 3 months later show an abdomen that reveals rather than hides the results of her gastric bypass procedure. The abdomen is taunt, flat and firm. Her recovery was swift and free of any complications. The patient is very pleased with the outcome of her tummy tuck procedure and quality of care she received both before and after surgery. -
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) - Albany, NY (5)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 37 year old (5'2". 130 lbs) mother of two from Troy, NY. She presented with mild laxity of the abdomenom and stretch marks as a result of her two pregnancies. Her wish was to flatten the stomach and have a more toned and slender silhouette. This was accomplished with a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) that included liposuctioning of the hips. 3 months later, she is well healed and very happy with her decision to have surgery. Her abdomen is flat and the contour much improved. The improved shape and tone of the stomach presents wonderfully both in and out of clothing as it compliments the entirety of her full frame and figure. -
Full Tummy Tuck (After Gastric Bypass Surgery) (3)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 46 year old (5'1") woman from Niskayuna NY who underwent gastric bypass surgery 3 years ago and as a result, lost over 100 pounds. While the weight loss was extremely beneficial to her overall health, it also left her with skin laxity both above and below the umbilicus (belly button) which no amount of exercise was able to tighten or reduce. In order to correct the excess skin tissue and laxity, the patient decided to undergo a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with plication (tightening) of the rectus sheath (abdominal muscles). Photos taken just 2 months later show the results of surgery to be outstanding. The patient is completely healed and back to all activities (including rigorous exercise). Her abdomen is now flat, tight and beautifully sculpted to accentuate the graceful curve of her waist. She looks forward to wearing a bikini now - which only 3 years ago seemed like an impossible dream - and form fitting outfits present the type of silhouette she's always wanted. A wonderful and well earned result that will only get better with time since the patient is committed to continuing with her exercise regimen and healthy diet. -
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) with Liposuction (8)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 47 year old black mother of 5 children (2 by c-section). One c-section utilized a pfannenstiel (bikini) incision; the other a lower abdominal midline incision. This left her with prominent scaring, laxity of the tissues and stretch marks. Patient was very unhappy with her post-pregnancy, round apple shaped body type and was on multiple medications for depression brought on by a negative body image. This was corrected with a full abdominoplasty plication (tightening) of the rectus muscles and aggressive liposuction of the hips. Five months after surgery her abdomen is flat, well healed and her waist line no longer has an apple shape. Her scars are minimal, her umbilicus appears normal and her stretch marks are far less noticeable. She no longer takes antidepressants and “feels like a new person” by enabling her to return to an earlier, more confident self. -
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) (4)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 39 year old (5'4", 124lbs) mother of four by natural delivery. She had a mild diastasis (separation) of the rectus muscles and some laxity of the abdominal tissue. To remedy these issues, I performed a full abdominoplasty with generous undermining of the tissue, rectus plication (muscle tightening) and liposuction. What makes this case particularly challenging is that mild laxity and a short waist make it more difficult to keep the scar low near the pubis. That said, post operative photos taken at three months show a pleasing abdomen with a faint low scar that is easily covered by her undergarments. Patient was also very happy to finally be able to pierce her neoumbilicus (belly button) piercing. -
Tummy Tuck for Stomach Pouch (5)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 42 year old (5'2") mother of two by c-section. She had lost 50pounds which left her with a great amount of laxity, particularly in the lower abdomen. She also had significant stretch marks. These were corrected with a full abdominoplasty and aggressive liposuction of the hips. She also had complete plication (muscle tightening) of the rectus fascia. Post op photos at four months show a dramatic improvement in her abdominal contour.

Full Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) After C-Section (4)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 39 year old (5'5", 180 lbs) mother of two children by c-section who was left with significant abdominal laxity and fullness. She also wanted to get back into exercising and felt that starting from a better body composition would have a psychological boost (which is often the case). We accomplished her goals with a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with liposuction of the hips and thighs. Photos taken 6 months later show that she is healing nicely. Her stomach is flat, abdominal skin is tight, and the scars are minimal. She feels great about herself and is off to a strong start in her new exercise program. The benefits of this are that the newly toned core muscles only further improves an already optimal result. -
Tummy Tuck + Liposuction After Hysterectomy (4)
This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 52 year old woman (5'4", 160 lbs) from Albany NY who had undergone numerous gynecological procedures over the years including a hysterectomy. These procedures left her with multiple scars, lax abdominal tissue and weak stomach muscles. She called her abdomen her "bottom in the front" in reference to the vertical fold the ran up the center. We corrected these issues via a full tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) with liposuction. Three months later, her belly is flat and tight. The incisions have healed wonderfully and her front no longer looks like a bottom. The muscle tightening also has had a dramatic effect on the thickness of her anterior (front) to posterior (back) thickness. (as the lateral/side photos highlight). -
Liposuction with Mini Tummy Tuck (5)
This set of liposuction before and after photos features a 39-year-old female (5’4” 135 pounds) who works out frequently. She was concerned about the fullness in her abdomen, hips and thighs, though her skin tone was very good. In order to correct this she underwent Power Assisted Lipectomy (PAL) of the abdomen, hips and thighs with a mini tummy tuck. Post op photos taken four month later reveal a tight abdomen, better contour to the hips and posterior lateral thighs. The medial thighs no longer touch. The incision for the mini tummy tuck is kept well below the bikini line. Notice also the muscular contour of her abdomen is now visible which makes her workouts more gratifying and productive.
