Augmentation with periareolar mastopexy for asymmetric breasts (5)
This is a 33 year old healthy white female. She is 5’7” and 135lbs. Her only previous surgery was an extended breast biopsy a year ago, which exacerbated her already asymmetric situation. The right side is now more ptotic than it was. Her bra size was a 34B with obvious asymmetry. The left breast is tight with a slightly deficient lower pole, whereas the right has a large nipple areola and is a bit more ptotic and larger, probably in the 50cc range. The best approach to her situation would be a differential dual-plane augmentation with release of the lower pole and a right periareolar mastopexy. After preforming external sizing she decided on a 400cc moderate plus smooth silicone implant for the right and a 450cc for the left. She underwent an uncomplicated procedure with a differential dual plane augmentation and a right periareolar mastopexy. Her postoperative course was completely unremarkable. Examination at two and a half months show that everything has healed nicely. She is now symmetric, her nipple areolas are at similar height, she has more lower pole fullness and she looks excellent. She is back to all normal activities and exercise. She is quite pleased with her new breasts. -
Augmentation with periareolar mastopexy for mild ptosis in an Asian woman (5)
This is a 28 year old Asian female. She is 5’3” and 125lbs. She had one child whom she breast fed. Her bra size was a 32B and she wished to be in the full C cup bra range. Examination showed mild glandular ptosis with the breasts sitting slightly on the chest. She did not wish to have a vertical mastopexy and on exam it was determined that adequate tightening could be achieved with a periareolar technique. After external sizing she chose a 400cc moderate plus implant and underwent an uncomplicated dual-plane augmentation with a periareolar mastopexy. Her postoperative course was likewise uneventful. Photos obtained at two months demonstrate that she has healed nicely. She has achieved her desired size and shape. The periareolar mastopexy is healing quite well and has given satisfactory elevation and tightening to the breast and nipple areola complex. She is quite pleased with her results and has returned to all normal activity. -
Augment mastopexy in a significant weight loss patient (5)
This is a healthy 36 year old white female. She is 5’1” and 128lbs. She lost 100lbs on her own. Her only previous surgery was a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. She does not have any children and she does not smoke. Her bra size is a 34B with some glandular ptosis and the breasts are sitting lower on her chest. Her desire was to be rather full and have the breasts significantly elevated. Having discussed an augmentation mastopexy and after external sizing, she chose 550cc Mentor moderate plus smooth silicone implants. She underwent subpectoral augmentation, a vertical mastopexy and her postoperative course was completely unremarkable. Photos obtained at three months show that the breasts have healed nicely; they are quite full and properly elevated. She is back to all normal activities including exercise and is quite pleased with her surgical outcome. -
Augmentation Mastopexy with 400cc Moderate Plus Smooth Silicone Implants (5)
This is a 33 year old white female. She is 5’2” and 110lbs. She has had no previous surgery. She has two children, whom she breast fed. Her youngest is now three. Her bra size was a 32C with first to second degree ptosis and glandular ptosis. Her desire was to be in that full C-D range. We went over the surgical procedure of an augmentation with a vertical mastopexy at great length and did external sizing to 400cc which would give her the needed volume. She underwent an uncomplicated subpectoral augmentation with vertical mastopexy and spent the night since she was from out of town. Her postoperative course was unremarkable and photos taken at two months show that she is healing nicely. The breasts are full and elevated with nice symmetrical volume. She is back to all normal activity and is quite pleased with her surgical outcome. -
Revision augmentation mastopexy following child birth (5)
This is a 37 year old healthy female. She is 5’6” and 128lbs. Ten years ago she had a submuscular breast augmentation utilizing 300cc implants. Since that time she has had two children. At the time of her surgery she felt that she had glandular ptosis off of the implant and was larger than her initial desires. In order to achieve her desired result it was necessary to go with a smaller implant, a vertical mastopexy and a small inferior reduction on both sides. She decided to proceed. She underwent a change of implants to 215cc classic smooth silicone prosthesis, a vertical mastopexy and an approximate 40gram reduction inferiorly on both sides. Her postoperative course was uneventful. Photos at two months show that she is healing beautifully. The breasts are smaller, elevated and have a nice contour. She no longer has glandular ptosis and she has achieved her desired size. -
Implant exchange with smaller implant and mastopexy (5)
This is a 48 year old white female. She is 5’6” and a non-smoker, who ten years ago had subpectoral placement of 420cc high profile saline implants filled to 460cc with a periareolar lift. Over the years she has done reasonably well, but feels her breasts have become a bit larger and more ptotic. Her desire was to be smaller, tighter and lifted. In order to achieve her desired result she underwent a bilateral superior and medial capsulotomies, change of implants to 275cc classic smooth silicone with an inverted T mastopexy. Her postoperative course was completely uneventful. Photos obtained at three months show that the breasts have healed nicely. They are smaller, tighter and the nipple areola is in a nice position. The mastopexy scars are healing nicely and will continue to do so over time. -
Vertical augmentation mastopexy for third degree ptosis (5)
This is a 45 year old healthy white female. She is 5’2” and 113lbs who over the years has lost approximately 40lbs. Her bra size was a 32C, but she had second to third degree ptosis with loss of superior fill. She was a non-smoker and had not had any children. The left breast was slightly more ptotic than the right and slightly larger. She desired a lift with slight increase in her overall breast size. In order to correct the ptosis she underwent bilateral subpectoral augmentation with a 200cc moderate plus smooth silicone implant followed by a vertical mastopexy with a slight reduction on the larger left side. Her postoperative course was unremarkable and photos obtained at four months show that she has obtained her desired result. The breasts are nicely elevated with proper position of the nipple and areola. The small implant has given her superior fullness without significantly increasing her overall breast size. She has achieved a significant lift utilizing only a vertical component. She is quite pleased and back to all normal activity. -
Dual plane breast augmentation with periareolar mastopexy for glandular ptosis (5)
This is a 28 year old healthy white female. She is 5’5” and 135lbs. She lost 100lbs on her own through diet and exercise. She is a non-smoker. Due to the weight loss she had developed a glandular ptosis with the lower pole sitting on her rib cage. Her bra size was a 34AB and she wished to be in that full C range. She also greatly wished to avoid the vertical mastopexy incision. Her base width was 14.0cm and she had first to borderline second degree ptosis. Having discussed the surgical options at great length she chose to proceed with the dual plane augmentation and periareolar mastopexy with differential augmentation for the slight asymmetry of the left breast, which was a bit larger. She underwent an uncomplicated dual plane augmentation with an aggressive periareolar mastopexy to remove as much skin as possible, particularly on the lower pole area without resorting to the vertical component. A 425cc moderate plus implant was used on the right and a 400cc moderate plus implant was place on the left. Since she was out of town she spent the night and her postoperative course was uneventful. Photos obtained at two months show that the breasts are healing well, including the periareolar incision. The breasts are full, they have been elevated and they no longer sit on her chest wall. She is back to normal activities and is quite pleased with her surgical outcome. -
Augment mastopexy for severe ptosis utilizing 405cc moderate smooth silicone imp (5)
This is a 30 year old healthy white female who is 5’11” and 175lbs. She had one child and did breast feed for over a year. Her bra size was a 36C, but it was predominantly a skin envelope without much glandular fill. She wished to be fuller in the C-D range and for the breasts to be brought up to a normal position on her chest. Her base width was 16.5cm and we did external sizing to 400cc which she liked. Due to her base width it was necessary to use the wider classic profile implant. After discussing the procedure at great length and the fact that she would need a T component because of the marked redundancy of skin she decided to proceed. She underwent an uncomplicated subpectoral augmentation with 405cc classic smooth silicone implants with an inverted T mastopexy. Her postoperative course was unremarkable. Initial photos taken at two months show that the breasts are healing nicely and in good position and no longer ptotic. Further photos obtained six months later show that the scars have settled in nicely, the breast have maintained their shape and have a marked improvement in their position and size. She is quite pleased and is able to wear whatever clothing she desires. -
Vertical augmentation mastopexy with 550cc moderate plus smooth silicone implant (5)
This is a 33 year old healthy white female. She is 5’6” and 130lbs. She has had no previous surgery. She did have one child whom she breast fed and she is a non-smoker. Her bra size was a 36 small B and she desired to be in that full C-D range. Examination showed first to second degree ptosis with her breasts sitting on her chest. Her base width was 14.5cm and we did external sizing to the 500-550cc range which would bring her to her desired D bra range. Having discussed the procedure at great length she decided to proceed. She underwent an unremarkable vertical (lollipop) mastopexy with subpectoral augmentation utilizing a 550cc moderate plus smooth silicone implant. Photos obtained at three months show that she is healing beautifully, the scars are beginning to fade, the breasts are full, sitting nicely on her chest and no longer appear droopy and deflated. She is back to all normal activity and is quite pleased. -
Augment mastopexy with 300cc moderate plus silicone implants (5)
This is a 25 year old healthy black female. She is 5’2” and 132lbs. Who has had two children via c-section. She is a non-smoker and did breast feed for a period of time. She has also had a previous tummy tuck. Her bra size was a 34B/C, but she had second degree ptosis and she wished them raised to their pre pregnancy position and a bit larger. In order to accomplish this she would require a subpectoral augmentation and vertical mastopexy, and being from out of town would need to stay overnight in the area for postoperative evaluation. After external sizing to 300cc she decided to proceed with surgery and underwent an unremarkable vertical mastopexy with subpectoral augmentation. She returned to her home the following day and then returned in two weeks for suture removal. These photos taken at that time demonstrate what can be expected in the early postoperative period. The breasts are now elevated and the nipples are in good position. There is a little bit of rounding in the upper pole area which will soften as healing progresses. The nipple areolas are smaller, sensation is in tack and she is beginning to return to normal activities. She is quite pleased knowing that the results will only continue to improve over the coming months. -
Before & After Breast Lift + Augmentation (Silicone Implant) (3)
This set of breast augmentation before and after photos features a very petite 28 year old mother of two (5'0" , 100lb.) from Kingston, NY who breast fed both children for an extended period of time. This left her with deflated breasts that had very little superior volume (top half of breast) and significant ptosis (droop/sag). Her pre-op bra size was a 34B/C and she wished to be a firm and full 34C after augmentation. In order to achieve her desired result, she underwent augmentation mastopexy with 375cc silicone breast implants placed submuscularly. Her post post-operative recovery was uneventful (without complication). Photos taken 6 months after surgery show the completeness of her recovery and the quality of her result. The breasts are full, firm and natural in appearance. They're elegant, yet youthfully full (especially in the upper pole). The scars are settling in nicely and will continue to fade over time. Suffice to say, the patient is pleased with her result and decision to undergo a breast life & augmentation. -
Augment Mastopexy (5)
This is a 24 Year old black female in good health. She is 5’8” and 155lbs. She had recently lost 60lbs. She had one child six years ago via c-section. She is a non-smoker and her bra size was a 36B/C with second degree ptosis and no superior fill. Her desire was to regain her volume and eliminate the significant droop while diminishing the size of her nipple/ areola. In order to accomplish this she underwent a bilateral vertical mastopexy with subpectoral placement of 475cc moderate plus smooth silicone prosthesis. Her postoperative course was uneventful. Photos obtained three months after her surgery show that the breasts have been nicely elevated. She has regained the volume she lost with both her pregnancy and weight loss and the scars are settling in quite nicely. She has no further droop and she is back doing everything in her active lifestyle. -
“Augmentation Mastopexy for Second Degree Ptosis and Large Nipple/ Areola Compl (5)
This is a 43 year old white female. She is 5’4” and 144lbs, which is stable for her. She had no previous surgery, but had two children via natural birth and breast fed them both. Her bra size was a 34B with second degree ptosis and large nipple/ areola complexes. She wished to be fuller though not excessively so. In order to correct this she would require a vertical mastopexy with subpectoral augmentation. We preformed external sizing to 350cc which was appropriate for her frame. She underwent an uncomplicated vertical augmentation mastopexy with subpectoral placement of the 350cc moderate plus smooth silicone prosthesis. Postoperatively she did quite well and photos obtained three months later show that the breasts are healing nicely. They are elevated with excellent nipple/ areola positioning, the areola themselves are significantly smaller and the scars will continue to improve with time. She is now able to wear clothing without a bra if desired and she is quite pleased with her result. -
Breast Lift Augmentation (5)
This set of breast augmentation before and after photos features a 41 year old healthy, white female. She is 5 ft 7 in tall, 138 lbs who works out everyday. Her bra size was a 34B and her first –second ptosis and she was a non-smoker. She did breast feed her one child for 13 months. She wished to be in the nice C cup range as well as having the breasts lifted. After discussing her options of having either a bi-planar (dual plane) breast augmentation or a vertical breast lift with sub-pectoral augmentation, she decided on the lift with augmentation since that would achieve a perkier, more youthful and more longer lasting result. I performed the augmentation mastopexy with a vertical (lollipop) lift utilizing 350cc implants (mentor moderate plus smooth silicone). Post operatively she did very well and after 6 months the implants have settled into an excellent position. The breasts are fuller, particularly in the superior pole and nicely lifted off the chest wall. Suffice to say, she is overjoyed with the result, feels the shape and size are perfect and is loves that they will retain their present appearance for many years to come. -

Her bra size is a 34C, but without any volume. She had three children. The last one she breast fed. She is a non-smoker. Her desire was to be in the D cup range. Examination confirmed second degree ptosis with a loose skin envelope and loss of volume. In order to correct this she would require a vertical mastopexy with submuscular augmentation. Having compared similar cases she chose a 475cc moderate plus smooth silicone implant and underwent an uncomplicated augmentation mastopexy. Her postoperative course was unremarkable. Photos obtained at three months demonstrate that the breasts have healed nicely. They are elevated. The nipple areolas are in excellent position and she has obtained her desired fullness. She is back to all normal activities including working out and is quite pleased with her surgical outcome. -

Vertical Breast Lift + Saline Implants for a 50 Year Old Woman (3)
This set of breast augmentation before and after photos features a 51 year old (5'3", 117lbs) mother of 3 from Clifton Park, NY who had been concerned about the sagging and deflated look of her breasts since she first took notice of these changes, which was a short time after the birth of her 1st child. She presented with significant ptosis (droop) of both breasts and from our discussions, it became clear that she had 2 specific surgery goals: first, she wanted her breasts lifted to their pre-pregnancy position and second, she wanted cleavage (upper pole fullness), but not by increasing the relative size of her breasts (which is how many surgeons/patients achieve more fullness in the upper pole). I accomplished these goals by combining a small submuscular breast augmentation utilizing 200cc Moderate Profile Saline implants with a vertical mastopexy and inferior reduction of 60 grams on either side. This moved the breast fullness to above the nipple areolar complex and diminished the amount of excess skin tissue below - creating a more aesthetically pleasing tear-drop shape and silhouette. Photos taken only 2 months later show that she is well on her way to an exceptional result. She is healing wonderfully, her breasts look completely natural in appearance from every angle and the scars are blending in at a faster-than-normal rate. Her bra size is still a 34C, but she no longer requires one to create the impression of a perky, full and ample carriage. The patient is very pleased with the result of her surgery and the decision to have me perform it, which her thank-you note (copied below and shared with permission) confers:
"Dr. DeLuca has changed my life. I now have the confidence and self esteem that I lacked for so many years. As soon as I walked into his office I felt completely comfortable. Dr. Deluca listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions without rushing me through any part of the consultation. Choosing Dr. DeLuca was the best decision I've ever made. Gloria and his staff were so helpful throughout the entire process. Case in point: I once called the office before hours a few days after my procedure because I was being a nervous nilly about something... they called me right back and answered all of my questions, putting me instantly at ease. Dr. DeLuca is not only an amazing surgeon but a caring man and a true artist. I can recommend him enough. Thank You Dr. DeLuca for everything." -
Vertical Mastopexy (Breast Lift) with Saline Implant Augmentation (5)
This set of breast augmentation before and after photos features a 44 year old woman (5'4", 120lbs) who suffered from post-partum loss of breast volume, particularly in regards to superior and 2nd degree ptosis (droop). Her pre-op bra size was a 36 B/C. This was corrected with submuscular augmentation utilizing smooth saline implants and a vertical mastopexy (breast lift). 3 months after surgery her breast are very nicely elevated and full. The nipple areola are in the proper position as seen best in the left and right lateral (side) views. The scars have blended in nicely and she can certainly go without a bra if desired. Her post-operation bra size is now a 36 C/D. -
Asymmetrical Breast Augmentation (4)
This set of breast augmentation before and after photos features a 24 year old white female from out of the region who presents with significant asymmetry to her breast. Probably somewhere in the 200 cc range. She is 5' 4" tall 145 lbs. The right breast was in the B cup range with minimal ptosis while the left breast is larger, ptotic, and her nipple areola complex is much lower. After much discussion with both she and her mother it was determined to augment the right side to a small mid C range while balancing it with a very small augmentation on the left, vertical mastopexy and a small excision of redundant inferior breast tissue. This was carried out with a left augmentation mammaplasty utalizing 125 cc moderate round smooth saline prosthesis filled to 130 cc with a vertical mastopexy removing 60 grams of tissue. On the right side she underwent a sub pectoral augmentation with a 275 cc moderate plus smooth saline prothesis filled to 300 cc. She has done very well postoperatively. Photos were obtained 10 days prior to her departure show symmetric well balanced breast with comperable fill both in the superior and inferior pole areas of her breast. She and her mom are quite pleased with the results which will continue to improve over the coming months. -
Breast Lift & Augmentation, Smooth Saline Implants (5)
This set of breast augmentation before and after photos features a 44 year old (5'4, 120lbs) woman who had post-partum loss of breast volume particularly in the superior and 2nd degree ptosis (droop). Her bra size was a 36 B/C. This was corrected with submuscular augmentation utilizing smooth saline implants and a vertical mastopexy. 3 months later, her breasts are now elevated and full. The nipple-areola are in the proper position (see lateral views). The scars have blended in nicely and she can certainly go without a bra if desired. Her new bra size is a 36 C/D. -
Before & After Breast Lift + Augmentation (3)
This set of breast augmentation before and after photos features a 39 year old female, 5' 4", 135 lbs who 11 years ago underwent subglandular augmentation mammaplasty with smooth saline implants. Since that time she has had one child and did breastfeed without any difficulty. Unfortunately she presented with many of the long term consequences of subglandular augmentation. There was marked rippling of the prothesis which was visible and easily felt. The breast themselves had taken on a melon like appearance from the glandular ptosis that develops overtime from the weight of the subglandular prothersis. In order to correct this deformity the implants were switched from a subglandular to a submuscular position with 375 cc moderate smooth silicone prothesis. A vertical mastopexy was also carried out. This brought the nipple areola to the appropriate height on the newly created breast mound and allowed excision of excess skin and tissue. She had a completly uneventful post-operative course. Six months later she is completly healed. The breast are now elevated and firm with a very natural appearance. The scars have settled in nicely and will continue to do so. She has gone from a droopy melon like appearance to one that is much more asthetically pleasing. -
Augmentation Mastopexy (560cc Implant - Saline) (5)
This set of breast augmentation before and after photos features a 32 year old white female 5' 6" 139 lbs who had one child and did breastfeed. Her bra size was a 34 A/B with slight asymmetry. Her right breast was slightly larger than the left. She desired a lift and to be rather full particularly in the superior pole. She did not wish for a natural appearance but one that accentuated the superior pole. In order to achieve these results she underwent an augmentation mastopexy utilizing 560 cc high profile saline prosthesis that were filled to 625 cc on the right and 650 cc on the left with a vertical mastopexy. The prosthesis were placed in a sub pectoral position. She had an unremarkable and benign postoperative course. She was back to exercise and running within a month. Photos were obtained 6 months postop to demonstrate that she has achieved her desired goal. The breasts sit high on the chest and are round and prominent. There is accentuation of the superior pole which was achieved by utilizing the high profile prosthesis. She is quite pleased with her result. -
Breast Lift & Augmentation, Smooth Saline Implant (5)
This set of breast augmentation before and after photos features a 36 year old (5'6", 133lbs) mother of two with post-partum loss of breast volume and significant ptosis (this nipple & areola lies well below the inframmamary crease). This was corrected with an augmentation mammoplasty and simultaneous vertical mastopexy. Her bra size went from a 36 B/C to a 36 C/D and both nipple & areola are now positioned correctly. Patient has mused that she can now comfortably go braless and wear halter tops.
