This is a 38 year old woman with a history of child bearing and weight
loss that presented to the office with complaints of back and neck pain.
She had exhausted other conservative measures without benefit and felt
that her breasts were contributing to her symptoms. Her pre-op exam
demonstrated very large 38 DDD ptotic breasts, bra strap grooving, and
chronic skin changes under her breasts. After seeking insurance approval
she underwent a uncomplicated bilateral breast reduction.
Post-operatively, at 4 months, her symptoms have been relieved and she
is very happy with the smaller lifted appearance of her breasts. They
look proportionate and the scars will continue to fade over time.
