This set of abdominoplasty before and after photos features a 39 year old (5'4", 124lbs) mother of four by natural delivery. She had a mild diastasis (separation) of the rectus muscles and some laxity of the abdominal tissue. To remedy these issues, I performed a full abdominoplasty with generous undermining of the tissue, rectus plication (muscle tightening) and liposuction. What makes this case particularly challenging is that mild laxity and a short waist make it more difficult to keep the scar low near the pubis. That said, post operative photos taken at three months show a pleasing abdomen with a faint low scar that is easily covered by her undergarments. Patient was also very happy to finally be able to pierce her neoumbilicus (belly button) piercing.
