This is a 37 year old white female 5’ 6” 160lbs which is stable for her. She had 3 children via c-section but did smoke occasionally. She understood that she would need to be off all cigarettes six weeks prior to any procedure in order to insure proper healing. Examination showed significant laxity below the umbilicus with a small amount above and a mild diastasis. She also had some fullness in the hip area. In order to improve her abdomen she underwent a full abdominoplasty with liposuction of the waistline and a gentle plication to the rectus. Her postoperative course was unremarkable and two months postoperatively the abdomen has healed nicely. It is nice and flat with marked improve contour. The scars are beginning to settle in appropriately. She can now start vigorous exercise in order to maintain her new shape with which she is quite happy.
